Financial assistance to be used toward up to 12 months of past due rent, plus an additional 3 months based on discretion of program for people whose income was impacted due to COVID-19 (maximum of 15 months total). Rent arrears are eligible for coverage beginning March 13, 2020. Applicants may receive assistance with all or part of their owed rent depending on program assessment of eligibility. Payments are made directly to landlords on behalf of tenants. Lot rent, security deposits, and late fees are not eligible at this time.
The Cure from Despair- COVID-19 Fund was designed to assist those in the community that lost their job, were laid off, or self employed and are financially struggling directly caused from the COVID-19 medical crisis epidemic with a short term assistance.
During the Safer-At-Home order, our offices are closed, however we are accepting telephone and emails during our regular business hours. We are able to mail or email any materials you may need directly to you.
A primary goal of the Fox Valley Veterans Council, Inc. (FVVC) is to sustain a Veterans Emergency fund which serves Veterans who are in need of emergency financial assistance. The Veterans Emergency fund provides funding for: housing, utility payments, clothing, food, transportation, and other high priority needs. Assistance is paid directly to creditors.
We partner with other local non-profits, to include: LEAVEN, COTS, Tri-County Dental and others to make the most of the community resources available.
We also have an interest free tool program available for Veteran graduates of FVTC who require basic tools as a condition of employment.
LEAVEN provides limited financial assistance to people who are struggling to meet their basic needs and have nowhere else to turn for help. In addition, we coordinate services with other community organizations to help promote self-sufficiency.
Pillars provides shelter, support and solutions to address the housing needs in our community. There are many reasons that home might cease to exist for a person or a family.
Provides assistance with basic household and emergency financial needs, helping individuals and families pay rent, electric bills, purchase gas, purchase bus tickets, and will help with medical emergencies.
