COVID-19 Community Response Fund
The COVID-19 Community Response Fund, established by United Way Fox Cities and the Community Foundation for the Fox Valley Region, supports local nonprofit and other community organizations engaging in response and recovery efforts in Outagamie, Calumet, Shawano, Waupaca, and the Neenah-Menasha area of Winnebago counties. To learn more about the fund, including how to apply for funding, and a list of organizations that have received grants, please visit: cffoxvalley.org/covidhelp.
Nonprofits serving people in Outagamie, Calumet, Shawano and Waupaca counties and the Neenah-Menasha area of Winnebago County may direct requests for financial support to the COVID-19 Community Response Fund.
Many caring Fox Cities businesses, foundations, and individuals are supporting the COVID-19 Community Response Fund, a partnership of the Community Foundation for the Fox Valley Region and United Way Fox Cities. The fund will consider requests and make grants in phases, changing priorities as this public health crisis and its long-term ramifications unfold.
COVID-19 Community Response Fund representatives meet weekly with a regional funders group formed around this crisis, sharing information and requests. Each funder makes decisions in line with their organization’s priorities.
Funding requests likely will exceed our community’s capacity to meet all needs.
CASH FLOW AND PROJECTING DURING COVID-19:
As we continue to respond to COVID-19, projecting cash flow, looking at reserves, and then budgeting are critical operational tasks to ensure your organization has the resources needed to survive the effects of the pandemic. Two organizations have created tools and resources to help the nonprofit sector navigate this. They are the Nonprofit Finance Fund (NFF) and Fiscal Management Associates (FMA). Key Links and Resources:
As the Fox Cities nonprofit community continues to support and respond to immediate needs related to the COVID-19 outbreak, there are very important provisions within the CARES ACT (H.R. 748), including the Small Business Administration Paycheck Protection Program, an expanded Small Business Loan program that provides loans to cover payroll and other overhead expenses. The loans will be forgiven at the end of the year.
In order to assist you, we are providing information and urge you to evaluate options for funding as well as gather important resources to help guide you as you make decisions regarding your employees, their needs, and your capacity to deliver your mission to our community.
